TALK TO ME…NO, REALLY

TALK TO ME…NO, REALLY

“One good conversation can shift the direction of change forever.”
-Linda Lambert

Has the art of communication deteriorated to something simply on the surface level? Can inner voices below the level no longer communicate efficaciously?

Experts certainly think so. Due to the avalanche of social media, many believe that real, intimate conversations are either dead or their standards have been diluted significantly.

Forget about friends and family out of our vicinity. Even people in the same households complain about eyes being on phones more than anything or anyone else for the majority of the day.

With all that in mind, I’m going to venture off the tried and tested path for this post and experiment a little for this particular entry. In the past, I wrote a post stating how I was simply listening in case anyone in a precarious position felt lost and otherwise.

I would like to reiterate that and invite anyone reading this post to say whatever they feel in the comments section below. If you don’t have anything to say, drop a quick “hello.” If you’re having a bad day, tell me about it. And if the details are personal and/or confidential, just say “This day sucks for me.” If something exciting happened to you, say “I’m excited.” Details or lack thereof are completely up to you.

Just say whatever your heart feels like, good, bad or indifferent. I will respond to each reply. The point of this post is two-fold. Firstly, I would to know what kind of readers I have (if any, ha ha). Secondly, I want to express the fact that the posts I write are not just for my own sake. They’re not simply a venting ground for me. It’s for you, the reader(s).

So basically, just talk to me. Looking forward to interacting with each and every one of you.

I feel exhausted Neel. I have been working all morning and am going to take a brief nap. You’re right. Any meal seems to have a cell phone joining at the table. You have addressed an ongoing problem in my opinion that will get worse. Even our cars can drive themselves now so why not make a call? It’s sad. Your posts are amazing s d always sensible. You need to go on google.com and post a review of your ow n work. Samantha
