Starry night and magic river rushing by
Makes my inner eye take flight.
Relieves me in my daily plight
Of just ordinary, boring living.
It’s the inner river that keeps on giving.

I stared at the full moon
from my bedroom window
I looked for a sign
Where are you right now?
All of the memories
Came rushing back
How could this be?
I gazed into the starry night
From my birth,
You were always with me
Now . . .
Gone
I feel an emptiness so deep
It takes my breath
I want to cross over
This very day
I have told God
So many times
“I want to see my sister”
