- Now I know why William rebelled
Now I know why he cursed the smoke
Now I know why he hated the horns
Now I know why he detested the engine
He hated them because they would
One day wreck mother nature
And cause her to run naked with her children.
He is dead but his word lives
Monday Abuh commented on the post, Picture Poetry – Amazon Fires 1. Burning 2. DecimateShe was once beautiful
A womb every child desired
A womb that condoled all the kicks
She was the art that birthed my art.
Now the fire that gave her life
Burns her adornments to nothing.
She screamed but no one could bear her cold
No one could cleanse her of the heat.
No one could rub it off her skin
All I mind now are memories
Of a beautiful womb.
- Great poem. I love the end ryhme.
- If I find him there
Then all problems will be over
With the burden of the years
I will strike him with the bass
And pluck out his core with
The hand he once whipped with sin.
